These are the most common questions about pricing, model access, OpenRouter setup, and the privacy-first workflow inside Open Harness.
Open Harness uses your own OpenRouter key, so the model pricing follows OpenRouter pricing for the models you call. In practice, that means it is the same model-usage pricing you would pay through the API layer, but Open Harness gives you one command deck instead of juggling multiple provider sites, multiple keys, and fragmented model access.
Yes. You can access the models exposed to your OpenRouter account and API key, then route them into side-by-side Open Harness panels for direct comparison.
OpenRouter publishes the live model catalog here: https://openrouter.ai/models. Inside Open Harness, those models are also available through the harness panel selectors and the right-side routing controls.
Use the OpenRouter quickstart here: https://openrouter.ai/docs/quickstart. Once your account is live and funded, return to Open Harness and paste your API key into the app.
Use the OpenRouter API key guide here: https://openrouter.ai/docs/api/api-reference/api-keys/get-key. Keep the key private because it controls the model usage billed to your OpenRouter account.
After successful payment, click the top-nav Open App button. Once inside the harness, paste your OpenRouter API key into the right-side control sidebar. You can use a draft key for the session or save an encrypted key to your account.
